You can submit your thoughts or comments via the ´óÏó´«Ã½’s online platform which may be read out by our presenter on air.
If we broadcast your contribution, this may include the your contribution being used within the programme (including being available online and/or on demand), and this may include the programme and/or your contribution being available shared across ´óÏó´«Ã½ platforms including the ´óÏó´«Ã½ social media channels Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or Youtube. Your contribution may also be used again by the ´óÏó´«Ã½â€¯in a for future broadcasts. 
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ will collect your personal data for the purposes of producing and broadcasting ‘Pick of the World’. 
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ production team will collect your personal data via an online platform used by the ´óÏó´«Ã½.    
We hope to use and share your contribution, but we can’t guarantee it.  
What personal information will the ´óÏó´«Ã½ collect and how we will use it?
You must be 18 and over to contribute to ‘Pick of the World’. The ´óÏó´«Ã½ will collect and process the following personal data about you:
- Your text or recorded comment which contains your opinion(s) about the show
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your location (city and/or county level)
- Confirmation your over 18
Should you opt-in to get more involved in ‘Pick of the World’, we will keep your information to enable us to contact you and for the purpose of producing and broadcasting ‘Pick of the World’
Who is the Data Controller?
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ is the “data controller” of the personal data we process for ‘Pick of the World ’of your personal data. This means that the ´óÏó´«Ã½ decides what your personal data is used for, and the ways in which it is processed.
For the avoidance of doubt, the personal data will be collected and processed solely for the purposes set out in this privacy notice. As the data controller, the ´óÏó´«Ã½ has the responsibility to comply, and to demonstrate compliance with, data protection law.

The lawful basis on which the ´óÏó´«Ã½ processes the personal data is the performance of its public task. The ´óÏó´«Ã½’s role is to act in the public interest and to serve all audiences with content which informs, educates and entertains, and to reflect the United Kingdom and its cultures and values to the world.    
If you’ve opted in we’ll contact you about other opportunities to get involved with ‘Pick of the World’, the lawful basis for this processing is called 'consent'. We can do this because you have given us permission to do so by opting into this via our online web form.
Retaining your personal data
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ will retain your personal data for 90 days from upload, after which it will be deleted.
If your contribution is broadcast, it will be retained and archived in perpetuity by the ´óÏó´«Ã½. 
If your contribution is featured on our social media channels, please refer to that channels privacy policy for more information on how your data is kept.
If you’ve opted-in to get more involved with ‘Pick of the World’ we’ll keep your contact information for 5 years, after which it will be deleted.
The personal data collected will be stored within the UK and EEA. 
Do we share your personal data with Third Parties?
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ works with our approved third-party providers who help us to provide some of our services. These data processors only use your personal data on behalf of the ´óÏó´«Ã½ and not independently of the ´óÏó´«Ã½. We currently use third-party data storage providers to store the data collected through the ´óÏó´«Ã½ online platform.
We may also share your personal data with a third party where required or permitted by law.

You can request a copy of the personal data ´óÏó´«Ã½ stores about you.     
 You have the right to ask for the personal data we collect about you to be deleted however there are limitations and exceptions to this right which may entitle the ´óÏó´«Ã½ to refuse your request.
