Edinburgh was already a massively popular tourist destination before Harry Potter brought in a wealth of would-be sightseers to the areas of the city said to have inspired JK Rowling’s famous creation.
Claudia Scott – herself an Edinburgh native – took Insider’s Guide around her home city to point out the most photogenic spots — not just those related to the world’s favourite boy wizard, but also photo opportunities guaranteed to excite even the most hardened of Instagram users.
