That’s the spirit! The indie band who wrote an opera about whisky
14 November 2018
Indie musicians Admiral Fallow and composer Gareth Williams have combined their talents to create a new opera.
Navigate the Blood tells the story of Bob and Lena, a husband and wife running a small independent distillery in rural Scotland. Living and working with them is a young Polish woman who wants to modernise the distillery by making gin as well as whisky.
Adding intrigue to the story is the disappearance of Bob and Lena’s son some years earlier in mysterious circumstances.
Quite a departure from the band’s roots, Admiral Fallow are hoping to pour a little of the into the opera world as they tour the nation’s distilleries.
