Swing number 'In The Mood' has the power to conjure up the war years like no other.
Now known throughout the world for the treatment it received in the hands of Glenn Miller and his orchestra, it started life back in 1930 when the main riff was recorded by Wingy Manone as Tar Paper Stomp.
How Glenn worked his magic is explained by trombonist Paul Tanner, the last surviving member of the original band.
