Nigel seeks an expert opinion.

Bert joins Ruth and David in the yard to ask if he can use David's workshop to repair a chair, as the lights in his shed keep fusing. To Ruth's amusement he decides to tag along with David to check the stock. Bert's list of tasks in the village is growing. When David suggests Freda might not like all the demands on his time Bert tells him her own list is even longer - she's got years' worth! Later Mike comes over, missing Brenda a bit now she's moved out.

Nigel cycles to the winery for the first tasting of the Lower Loxley wine and is slightly overwhelmed by all the decisions he has to make that will affect the taste. He finally settles on a drier blend and, together with the winemaker John Simons, sorts out label design, bottle colour, corks and caps. One last test is to drink a whole bottle - something Mike concedes later that even he could manage! Nigel says that as Sid hasn't time, he'll organise a charity wine tasting himself. Not with their own wine yet, of course, but with one similar and the Wine Relief ones, and Helen's cheeses to complement them.
