Sci-fi drama series. A Lumerian ambassador and his unpleasant mother are beamed aboard the Enterprise to mediate in a dispute in the Rekag-Bironi system. When the ambassador's mother dies, Deanna performs a Lumerian funeral mediation with him and begins to exhibit strange behaviour.
