Documentary series about the world's first centre to provide respite and end-of-life care for children with life-shortening conditions, set up in 1982 by the visionary Sister Frances Dominica.

One-year-old Courtney Scarlett has died and Helen House supports his parents Louise and Leyton in their grief and as they face a difficult decision that could save another child's life. In amongst the sadness, the life of the house continues as the team prepare for Christmas.
