Murder mystery series. A letter from an old friend brings Jessica to a luxury island hotel, where she arrives just in time to investigate the sender's murder. The motive is apparently a jewellery theft, but the police are unhelpful and there is a long list of suspects - including a one-time skiing celebrity who knew the victim's deepest secret.
