Hampshire police are called to a fatality with the charge of Death by Dangerous Driving. Family Liaison Officer Pete Haywood has the terrible task of informing the dead driver's next of kin, while Sergeant Phil Haynes and PC Graham Hughes try to piece together what caused the six-car shunt and pursue a prosecution case against a driver who is due to emigrate in a month and will then be permanently beyond justice.
