Rev. John Dunlop considers the place of Christianity in post-Maoist China. His journey takes him to Xinmin where he visits the church of a former Irish missionary. It is here that he experiences at first hand the influence of the communist party on the Church. He discovers that the majority of believers worship outside the state system, and he explores the distrust that exists between the official and unofficial Church.
