The first major cup final of the season sees Jim Jefferies' Kilmarnock take on John Collins' Hibs.

The Rugby Park outfit have never lifted the League Cup and last appeared in the final in 2001 when they lost 3-0 to a Henrik Larsson inspired Celtic. However, Jefferies led Hearts to Scottish Cup victory in 1998 and is widely considered to be one of the shrewdest managers in the game. He pits his wits against the former Hibs, Celtic and Scotland midfielder John Collins, who is having a successful first season in the dug-out. Hibs are already in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup and are the only side who can complete a domestic Cup double. The Easter Road side have had two League Cup victories - a 1972 win over Celtic and more recently in 1991 against Dunfermline. Presented by Dougie Donnelly with Gordon Smith and Pat Nevin. Paul Mitchell and Ian McCall are in the commentary box.
