Stephen Joyce has only known the silent world of the deaf. But in every sense he is a survivor, overcoming the obstacles of his life. Now, however, the condition that brought his deafness is dealing him another cruel blow, just when he is enjoying his young son Cameron growing up.
Most of us take our senses for granted. For the parents of Stephen Joyce the joy of their newly born child was tempered by the discovery he was totally deaf. Now, Stephen is grown up, married, and he too has become a father.
