Documentary series focusing on hospital stories in Cardiff. Victoria Hitchings has had a stroke on holiday in Spain. She has been flown back to Cardiff and it is now the job for the stroke rehabilitation team to help her to walk, speak and get well enough to return home to her husband Bryn. But things don't go to plan.

Mohammad Arif has already had one stroke, and now the artery in his neck is nearly blocked off. Surgeon Miss Susan Hill has to operate to remove the blockage, without this surgery Mohammad runs the risk of a major stroke which could kill him.
