It's D-Day on the cricket pitch.

Alice has no intention of saying goodbye to Brian as he leaves to collect Ruairi. Jennifer realises Alice isn't even in the house, and in a panic she phones Adam, forgetting he's at the cricket. The panic is soon over as Alice walks through the door but she is still reluctant to talk. Jennifer tries hard to make her understand what she has been through, but how the important thing now is what's best for Ruairi. She wants Alice to understand how much it would mean if Alice could be there to meet Ruairi when he arrives tomorrow - not for Jennifer, nor for Brian, but for little Ruairi.

An exciting cricket match against Fawcett Magna leaves Ambridge needing nine runs from the last six balls. David's hailed as a hero when he hits a six with three balls to go - but it's not enough.

At the Bull, the first round's on Sid. Shula thinks the team funds can pay for another round. After such a performance, the team deserves it. Even though Ambridge didn't win, Alistair knows they did well and kept their pride. Everyone agrees they can still hold their heads high. There's a big cheer for the Ambridge team.
