Operation Banner

After 37 years, the Army's campaign in Northern Ireland - codenamed Operation Banner - is due to end. As the troops pull out, Ruth McDonald examines the experience of soldiering in Northern Ireland and assesses the campaign - one of the very few ever conducted on British soil.
