The Welsh Connection

Ten years after the 1997 devolution referendum, Gwynn Pritchard returns to three Welsh locations where he filmed 30 years ago to find out how things have changed.

Ten years after the 1997 devolution referendum, Gwynn Pritchard returns to three Welsh locations where he filmed 30 years ago - Ffynnongroyw in Flintshire, Trawsfynydd in the heart of rural Meirionydd, and post-industrial Merthyr Tydfil. His original filming coincided with the first referendum of March 1979, when almost 80 per cent of Welsh voters rejected devolution. How have things changed since then and what do these changes tell us about Wales today?
