Hazel Irvine presents coverage from Sheffield City Hall as eight of the world's top snooker players gather for what is likely to be an afternoon of tension on the green baize. The prestigious competition, which was revamped in 2005, involves the world's elite taking each other on in a one-frame knockout. Ray Reardon won the first Pot Black Cup back in 1969 and the tournament has been dominated by fellow Welshmen since its revival two years ago. Matthew Stevens won in 2005 while Mark Williams took the first prize in 2006, beating John Higgins.
