It's the anniversary of the death of hymn writer Isaac Watts (1674–1748). Brian D'Arcy introduces a programme of Watts' best known hymns and tells the story of his life. The featured choir is the Glasgow University Chapel Choir, directed by James Grossmith, with organist Kevin Bowyer.
Hymns include When I survey the wondrous cross, Joy to the world and Come let us join our cheerful songs.
