Bee Movie
The animated feature film, Bee Movie, written by Jerry Seinfeld. The story centres around Barry B Benson, a worker bee who is just about to get his first job after college but hankers after a bit of gap year experience outside the hive. He is saved from a random swatting by florist Vanessa (Renee Zellweger) and they start talking. To his surprise Barry finds out humans eat the honey his friends make and decides to make a stand.

Cinderella
Actor and novelist, Stephen Fry pens a witty new Cinderella: a tale of passion, jealousy, cross-dressing, injustice, chocolate, madness, cruelty, ice-cream, hatred, revenge, jelly, unrequited love, envy, tarts, forgiveness, music, laughter, hope, redemption, and of course, love. The pantomime stars Sandi Toksvig and Pauline Collins.

The Old Curiosity Shop
A feature film adaptation for ITV1 of Charles Dickens’ tragic Victorian tale of the virtuous Little Nell and her gambling grandfather. Little Nell Trent (Sophie Vavassuer) lives with her doting grandfather in his London shop. Known as The Old Curiosity Shop, it is a magical place, filled with dust-laden treasures, but Grandfather (Sir Derek Jacobi) keeps his nocturnal gambling activities a secret, borrowing heavily from the evil, profiteering loan shark, Daniel Quilp (Toby Jones).

Oliver Twist
This new version of Oliver Twist, adapted by Sarah Phelps, a regular writer for EastEnders, gives us an Oliver who is less of a passive victim than some previous accounts have offered.

The Swimming Reindeer
One of the most beautiful pieces of Stone Age art ever found, this carved piece is on display at the British Museum and shows a male and female reindeer, one behind the other. With their noses up and antlers back the carving appears to show the reindeer swimming.
