In this four-part series celebrating the 40th anniversary of the release of The Beatles' legendary album Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, multi-award-winning engineer Geoff Emerick heads back to the studio to demonstrate the innovative techniques he employed during the albums' recording at Abbey Road studios back in 1967.
2/4. Some of today's most popular acts, including Oasis, Stereophonics, The Zutons and Jamie Cullum, join Geoff to discuss how he originally engineered the album. Then they record their own interpretation of one of the famous songs, using the original analogue four-track equipment.
The artists also discuss the importance of Sgt Pepper and we listen in on the recording in action to see just how different the experience is for them.
