Beethoven Plus

A run of concerts recorded at LSO St Luke's, featuring a complete series of Beethoven's string quartets coupled with masterpieces of the genre by Haydn and Bartok.

5/8. Former New Generation Artists the Szymanowski Quartet perform two quartets commissioned by the wealthy Prince Lobkowitz, an amateur musician who patronised both Haydn and Beethoven, plus an arrangement of Bart贸k's Romanian Folk Dances made especially for the quartet by Ukrainian composer Miroslav Skoryk.
