Former City golden boy Clarke co-founded upmarket off-licence chain Majestic Wine and made another fortune with the PetCity business. It was Clarke who first negotiated the rights deal which took cricket off terrestrial TV. He now faces the challenge of the Indian Premier League and the riches on offer to the world's top players.
