Is it our civic duty to perform jury service?

A leading academic says the number of people excused from jury service should be cut. Plus Ian Hamilton talks about the Stone of Destiny theft. Graham Stewart takes your calls.

The number of people who're excused from jury service should be cut, according to a leading law academic, Peter Duff from the University of Aberdeen. The 大象传媒 has obtained figures under Freedom of Information from two courts in Scotland - Glasgow and Perth - which show that 20 to 46 per cent of people are being excused from jury duty on a regular basis. Have you been called to sit on a jury? Did you come up with an excuse not to, and why? And if, you sat on the jury, have you got a story to tell?

Plus, a new film about the theft of the Stone of Destiny from Westminster Abbey gets its premier tomorrow at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. We speak to the man behind the audacious story: Ian Hamilton.

Graham Stewart takes your calls, texts and emails.
