Is there such a thing as the 'Catholic vote'?
Is there such a thing as the 'Catholic vote' in Scotland? and Do you support euthanasia? Graham Stewart takes your calls.
With just over a week to go until polling day in the Glasgow East by-election, one of the country's most senior bishops says Labour is in danger of losing the 'Catholic vote'. Bishop Joseph Devine has attacked the party for its refusal to lower the time limit for abortions and plans to allow research on human/animal embryos. If you're a Catholic - or a Christian of any kind - does what the church says influence the way you vote? And are you comfortable with politics mixing with religion?
Plus: Do you support euthanasia?
In a special investigation to be shown tomorrow night on 大象传媒 One Scotland, the independent MSP Margo McDonald argues doctors should be allowed to help terminally ill patients end their life. In the programme she tells how an emotional meeting with an MS sufferer changed her mind over euthanasia. Previously she'd called for a debate on assisted suicide but remained against doctors ending life with a lethal injection. Should we allow euthanasia under strictly controlled conditions, or is that just a step too far?
Graham Stewart takes your calls, texts and emails.
