Alex Flook, 11, is taking Maths GCSE. Florence Mayo, 8, has been diagnosed dyslexic. Ebony Alder, 8, has moved to Bala where she attends the Welsh Language Unit.
Three children give their own unique take on school life. Alex Flook, 11, from Williamstown in the Rhondda is taking Maths GCSE along with some of his other junior school classmates. Florence Mayo, 8, from Ponthir has just been diagnosed with dyslexia. She has always hated school because she found it so hard to read and write but is finally happy at her smaller village school. Ebony Alder, 8, has moved from Caerphilly to Bala with her three sisters and two brothers. Before she can settle into her new Welsh-speaking primary school, she has to spend a term at the special Welsh Language Unit in Dolgellau.
