Equestrian and Swimming: Day Four

It is the climax of the equestrian team and individual competitions in the three day event, and following two days of dressage and another gruelling day of cross-country, the spotlight falls on the crucial show jumping section, when knocking a single fence down can mean the difference between going home with or without a medal. British medal chances include Mary King and William Fox-Pittday.

Britain have won the silver medal in the tean event at the last two Olympics but have not won team gold since their sucessive Golds in Mexico 1968 and Munich 1972.

In swimming, it is the men's 200 breaststroke heats and the men's 4x200 free heats and the relay will see another renewal of the American v Australian rivalry. Kris Gilchrist and James Kirton carry British hopes in the breaststrokes.

Britain's Khalid Yafai begins his flyweight campaign in boxing. In the Bantamweight division the focus is on Joe Murray and Ireland's John Joe Nevin.

Plus news of two more medals in weightlifting and fencing, and the badminton, beach volleyball and tennis competitions continue.
