Fresh from his broadcast cycle of the Mahler symphonies, Russian maestro Valery Gergiev conducts the London Symphony Orchestra in Tchaikovsky's delicate and richly romantic ballet Sleeping Beauty. A perennial favourite with children and adults alike, it tells of a beautiful princess betwitched by an evil spell and eventually awakened by the kiss of a handsome prince.
