Are you having problems buying a house?
Ian Hamilton asks: Are you having problems buying a house? and Should we make it harder for people to own a dog?
The government is raising the current 拢125,000 threshold for stamp duty to 拢175,000 for the next 12 months as part of a package of measures to help first-time buyers and those struggling to pay their mortgages. Will this boost the housing market, and are we too obsessed about owning a property anyway?
Plus: Should we make it harder for people to own a dog?
New figures suggest Britain's streets are swarming with stray dogs. The Dogs Trust says, on average, more than 20 stray and unwanted dogs a day are handled by local authorities in Scotland. Should we bring back the dog licence or make it compulsory to chip all dogs?
Ian Hamilton (standing in for Graham Stewart) takes your calls, texts and emails.
