BSL magazine. See Hear is on a historical road trip as we cycle through time from 1660s England to Europe in the 1950s and finally Blackpool in present day. Our first stop is Berkshire, where a recent discovery of a notebook from 1662 has provided a valuable insight into the lives of deaf people at that time, and may have provided the answer to a debate that has been raging for 350 years. Then it's back on our bikes to Scotland, where we find out about a deaf man who, in 1950, cycled as far as the Arctic Circle. We check out the feature film that is being made about his story. Finally we head off to Blackpool where a deaf man, taking his first baby steps into the deaf world, makes one giant leap for deafkind - by attending the annual rally alongside over 1,000 deaf people.
