Cook Book
Cookery competition series with Raymond Blanc. The couples must come up with cook books that promote their restaurant concepts.
Amateur cooks compete for the opportunity to go into business with distinguished chef and restaurateur Raymond Blanc.
The British spend over 70 million pounds on books about food each year. For chefs and restaurants glossy cook books can boost trade, so Raymond wants to challenge the couples to come up with cook books that promote their restaurant concepts.
First they have to cook their dishes to perfection, then get some of Britain's top food photographers to shoot them. Rules of food photography go out of the window along with some simple English and common sense. The resulting promotional pages perplex the biggest book buyers in the country and there is surprise when they finally make their judgements.
When Raymond confronts the couples with the errors of their ways only two couples can survive, because one restaurant is definitely going to close.
