Michael Berkeley's guest is writer David Almond, whose award-winning children's book Skellig has been made into an opera with music by Tod Machover, and which is being performed at The Sage in Gateshead.
David is an opera lover and his musical choices include works by Monteverdi, Mozart, Handel, Puccini and Bartok as well as traditional Japanese Noh music.
