Penny Gore introduces a performance of Puccini's Turandot, from the composer's incomplete libretto, and Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time.

The programme focuses on Puccini's Turandot, set in China, a work Puccini did not live to complete. Although the libretto was handed to another composer to complete, this performance is of the original incomplete opera, using Puccini's music only.
