Two-time UK champion John Higgins is in action as his first-round match plays to a conclusion. On the other table, last year's runner-up, and 2004 winner, Stephen Maguire, will also look for a last 16 place. A maximum of nine frames will decide if it is a successful day for the high-ranked Scots.
