Bidisha reviews Valkyrie, which stars Tom Cruise as Colonel Count Claus von Stauffenberg, who led a real-life plot to assassinate Hitler. The film has caused controversy in Germany, where Cruise's belief in Scientology was considered inappropriate for his portrayal of von Stauffenberg. Anne McElvoy gives the Night Waves verdict.
