Episode 4
Hospital documentary series. Consultant vascular surgeon Susan Hill treats a patient with skin cancer, and the cameras follow porters Dave and Rob as they go about their business.
At the University Hospital of Wales, Consultant vascular surgeon Miss Susan Hill is one of only three female surgeons, and here she operates on a patient with skin cancer.
If you need anything moved around the hospital site then you need a porter. Dave and Rob are pushing, pulling and delivering what ever needs to be shifted!
On Intensive Care Betty Scott is paralysed from the neck down as a result of a fall down the stairs, and can only breathe with the help of a ventilator. The Medical Assessment Unit is so busy that the nurses are under constant pressure to meet their 8-hour target of moving patients on to the wards.
And it is all hands on deck as the Air Ambulance lands at the hospital with an emergency on board.
