Aled Jones presents the programme from Hoddinott Hall, the new home of the ´óÏó´«Ã½ National Chorus and Orchestra of Wales in Cardiff Bay, and introduces the first choral concert of their opening season. With music by Mendelssohn and Stanford, plus Welsh composers William Mathias and Mansel Thomas.

The programme was recorded on 1 February 2009 with the ´óÏó´«Ã½ National Chorus of Wales, conducted by Adrian Partington.
