A day of extreme contrasts begins with a trek through icy snow melt water before the team ventures onto the high plains in over 40 degrees of heat. The terrain takes its toll on Army nurse, Jenny, who suffers a knee injury. But there is no time for rest as they have to cross a minefield before dark. But without permission from the indigenous communities to continue on their chosen route, the whole trip could be in jeopardy.
