Ben Fogle leads a team of deserving heroes on the final leg of his epic South American adventure from the Equator to the Tropic of Capricorn. This week they are crossing the legendary Atacama Desert in Chile, the driest place on earth, in a bid to climb Volcano Corona.

On the eve of the team's final ascent, the team medic has to decide whether army nurse Jenny is fit to continue after developing symptoms of altitude sickness. As the team launch their summit attempt, they are slowed by the effects of altitude and must battle tumbling boulders, freezing temperatures and fierce winds that threaten to blow them off the mountain.
