Presented by Ian Skelly. The Bournemouth SO under Andrew Litton in Grieg: Symphonic Dances; Mendelssohn: Violin Concerto with soloist Leila Josefowicz; and Walton Symphony No 1.

Ian Skelly presents a concert given at the Lighthouse, Poole, with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra Conductor Laureate Andrew Litton returning to Poole to conduct the orchestra where he was music director from 1988 to 1994. The programme includes Mendelssohn's ever-popular Violin Concerto, with soloist Leila Josefowicz, and a work for which the conductor is a passionate advocate - Walton's First Symphony.
