Picasso at the National Gallery

Matthew Sweet reviews a new exhibition at the National Gallery which examines the ways in which Picasso challenged and reconfigured the traditions of European painting.

Matthew Sweet visits the National Gallery's new exhibition Picasso: Challenging the Past, its first devoted to the great Spanish artist. The exhibition includes over 60 of Picasso's seminal works, and shows how he radically transformed the heritage of the European painting tradition for his own purposes.

Matthew also reviews the film The International, in which Clive Owen stars as an interpol agent investigating corruption in a global banking organisation.
