Presented by Sean Rafferty. With Piotr Beczala and Ildar Abdrazakov on Verdi's Requiem, and countertenor Robin Blaze and Concordia performing in the studio.

Sean Rafferty presents a selection of music and guests from the arts world.

Tenor Piotr Beczala and bass Ildar Abdrazakov join Sean ahead of their performance of Verdi's Requiem at the Royal Opera House in London and Birmingham's Symphony Hall. They talk about the vast forces for which the work is written, as well as the vocal demands placed upon the soloists.

Plus countertenor Robin Blaze and viol consort Concordia performing works by Purcell and Byrd in the studio.
