Should grandparents be rewarded by the government for looking after their grandchildren?
A poll by the charity Grandparents Plus suggests that, in the current economic crisis, many parents will be turning to their own parents for childcare and financial support. And 61% of people think grandparents should be rewarded by the state for that help. Is this 'just reward' for a sacrifice? Or are we giving parents the green light to avoid their own responsibilities?
