Episode 22

Consumer stories with Lucy and Rhodri Owen. Rachel Treadaway-Williams investigates Kevin Collinson, two of whose mobility companies went bust, leaving customers without refunds.

Wales's best consumer stories, with Lucy and Rhodri Owen. As Rhodri gets out and about, Lucy shares top tips for money saving, and roving reporter Jessie Swinburn investigates consumer problems.

Rachel Treadaway-Williams investigates Kevin Collinson, who sells mobility scooters. He was once the owner of the fastest growing company in North Wales and received a quarter of a million pounds in grants from the Welsh Assembly government. Why have two of his companies gone into liquidation in just twelve months, leaving dozens of customers like 78-year-old Judy Owen without the refunds they were promised? Despite this, he's now running a third mobility company.

Lucy Owen reports on a growing trend for the young to be financially savvy. She visits the business club at Sageston Primary School, near Tenby, where ten-year-olds are honing their fiscal skills; meets a company of Girl Guides in Caerphilly who are learning how to manage their own finances; and discovers how pupils at Park Primary School in Bargoed are working with a credit union to encourage saving.

When Catherine and Kevin Longree from Pontypool followed their travel company's advice to switch their honeymoon from Kenya, where there is political unrest, to sunny Cuba, they thought they'd be safe. However, when Hurricane Ike struck it was a different story.
