With Melodies for You. Alan plays a mix of music from Frank Sinatra, to the Whicker's World theme tune, and Handel's Zadok The Priest.
This evening's show includes the TV themes to "Whicker's World" and "The Darling Buds of May "; "The Voices of Spring" by Johann Strauss II ; "Monte Carlo or Bust "by Ron Goodwin and Handel's glorious coronation anthem "Zadok the Priest." There are listener requests for the music of Gerald Finzi and Kenneth Alford plus Alan recalls a scene from the film "It Happened In Brooklyn" when Frank Sinatra sang ....."Don Giovanni."!
