With Melodies for You. Alan presents an eclectic mix of tunes from the worlds of classical music, opera, operetta, musicals, films, brass and military bands and jazz.
With warm summer days ahead of us Alan plays Summer: Waltz Of The Cornflower And Poppies from Glazunov's ballet The Seasons.
There are listener requests to hear the voices of Peter Dawson and Nat King Cole, plus TV themes from Going For A Song and The Onedin Line.
And for fans of the operetta, there's music from The Dancing Years by Ivor Novello and The New Moon by Sigmund Romberg.
