Alyn Shipton is joined by Guy Barker to select the best recordings by fellow trumpeter Freddie Hubbard, who died in December 2008. Hubbard was considered one of the most gifted soloists in jazz, and a man seen as the natural heir to Louis Armstrong and Dizzy Gillespie.
