Rob Cowan presents the conclusion of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra's Prom under new principal conductor Kirill Karabits.

With Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto, featuring celebrated Lithuanian-born violinist Julian Rachlin, followed by works by Khachaturian, including his colourful Soviet-era ballet Spartacus, which celebrates the Thracian gladiator whose rebel slave army almost defeated the might of Rome.
