Navy Rescue helicopter 193 gets called to an emergency far out in the Atlantic. A Spanish seaman has been very seriously hurt - the weather conditions are some of the worst the aircrew have ever experienced, and the aircraft is operating at the very limit of its operating range.

The crew of the RNLI's Torbay lifeboat are sent to help one of their own. The deputy coxswain earns his living in one of the hardest jobs in Britain - he is a trawlerman, and has fallen down a hatch on his boat, injuring himself badly.
