See Hear is going back to school, with a special focus on education.

The programme follows school children who are lobbying MPs to tighten the rules on classroom acoustics at a time when the government is investing in the renovation and building of schools. Poor acoustics make it difficult for children with hearing impairment to concentrate and follow their lessons, yet there is no obligation to meet the recommended acoustic standards.

We meet a family trying to find the right kind of education for their five-year-old son Adham, who is deaf and autistic, and there is a visit to Heathlands school to see the launch of the first GCSE in BSL.
