In the men's 100m, former world record holder Asafa Powell is expected to face Tyson Gay, who scorched to an American record 9.71 seconds when second in the World Championship final.

British interest will centre on triple jump world champion Phillips Idowu and the rematch between Lisa Dobriskey and Maryam Jamal, who beat the Briton to the women's 1500m world title by a single hundredth of a second last month.
